Consultative Committee

The AustralianSuper Trustee Board is responsible for the operation and management of the Steel Employees Superannuation Plan (Steel Plan). The Trustee Board has an equal number of Directors representing members and employers plus an independent Director.

Steel Plan Sub-Board
In addition to member-representative Directors, we have set up a special Steel Plan sub-board to represent your interests and those of all Steel Plan members. The sub-board meets every three months to discuss issues relating to the Plan.

The members of the sub-board are:

Member representatives

Jeff Graham (chair)
Ian Malkin.

Employer representatives

Paul Clayton
Daryl Kilby.

Union nominated representatives

Glenn Thompson (AMWU)
Graeme Roberts (AWU).

These representatives all have a strong understanding of superannuation issues for steel industry employees.

The sub-board:

Monitors investments and advise the AustralianSuper Board where required
Monitors the delivery of services to Steel Plan members
Ensures the communication and member education needs of Steel Plan members are met.
