Cover is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week – not just when you’re at work – so you can rest easy knowing you are protected.
In addition, AustralianSuper members also benefit from:
- premiums at discounted bulk rates, less than you may pay as an individual;
- hassle-free payments, with premiums deducted from your account each month; and
- the option to increase your cover at any time to suit your needs (subject to meeting the insurer’s health evidence requirements).

Information for prospective members
When you complete a Membership application form to join AustralianSuper, you will be given the choice of two insurance packages:
Package 1: 3 units of Death and TPD cover (Death only if you are aged 65-69); or
Package 2: 3 units of Death and TPD cover plus Income Protection cover (Death only
if you are aged 65-69).
Members who do not make a choice will automatically be given Package 1.
When you complete a Membership Application form, you will be given the option of varying or increasing your cover, up to a maximum of $2 million of cover, subject to meeting the insurer's health evidence requirements. Alternatively, you may wish to reduce or cancel the number of units you have. Please contact AustralianSuper for details.
