Find your lost super

Contact Email Print

It's easy to lose track of your old super accounts, especially if you have changed jobs, your name or address.

After a period of time your old fund(s) may have transferred your super details to the Australian Tax Office (ATO) or transferred your balance to an eligible roll-over fund, like AUSfund.

Before you can transfer your super balances into AustralianSuper, you'll need to find the details of these lost super accounts.

There are a few different ways to help you find your missing super:

Your previous employer or workmates may remember the name of the old fund

  • The Australian Tax Office can also help you find any super you may have lost, misplaced or forgotten – free of charge. You can use your Tax File Number (TFN) to search their free online service - SuperSeeker - or call 13 28 65

  • AUSfund also publishes information about unclaimed super. You can call AUSfund on 1300 361 798 or use their free online search service  - unclaimedsuper.com.au

  • In general, having your old account number and TFN will greatly assist you when searching for your forgotten super.

If you have questions or need assistance in finding your lost super, simply call AustralianSuper weekdays 8am-8pm (EST).  Further information about how to rollover funds to your AustralianSuper account can be found on our Transfer your super page.
