Q: How do I know my QFF number is linked to my AustralianSuper account?
A: During the process of joining at australiansuper.com/qantas you will be asked to enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) number, which will be validated against your Qantas membership details. Once verified, your QFF membership number will appear on the join form and be noted against your account at AustralianSuper.
Q: When does the Qantas offer finish?
A: The offer expired at 11:59pm on 31 December 2019. You must have submitted a completed application before midnight (AEST) on 31 December 2019.
Q: How do I receive the offer?
A: To access the offer you must join AustralianSuper online at australiansuper.com/qantas and provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) number when prompted. Then select the AustralianSuper product (Super or Choice income) you wish to join, and press the ‘Join Now’ button to start your application. Joining AustralianSuper through another method (eg paper, phone, or via another part of our website) will mean that you are ineligible for this offer.
Q: What happens if I am not a Qantas Frequent Flyer Member?
A: This offer is only available to Qantas Frequent Flyer Members. If you wish to join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program before taking advantage of this offer, you can find more information and consider joining here or by calling 13 11 31. There may be fees and terms and conditions associated with the Qantas Frequent Flier program. Please quote “AustralianSuper” in discussions with Qantas and you may be eligible for a reduced fee, contact Qantas for more information.
Q: When will I receive my points?
A: You’ll receive your Bonus Qantas points as a one-off allocation approximately 2-3 months after the $350 contribution threshold is met. AustralianSuper will not notify you once the Bonus Qantas points have been allocated. The credited points will appear on your Qantas Points Summary statement. You should contact AustralianSuper by calling us on 1300 136 203 if you think you’re points haven’t been appropriately allocated, providing that the minimum contribution has been made and 3 months has elapsed since the date of contribution/s.
Q. How do I claim missing points?
A: Once we verify you’re eligible to receive Qantas points, you’ll need to make sure a contribution has been received into your account. You can check if a contribution has been made by checking your account online here or by calling 1300 136 203 where one of our consultants will be able to advise if a contribution has been made and the date of the contribution. The total contribution amount needs to be a minimum of $350 – it can be either a single contribution or cumulative amount within 6 months from the date you have joined the Fund (being the date you open an account and are allocated an AustralianSuper membership number). If it’s under that amount, the eligibility criteria has not been met. Once the $350 minimum contribution threshold has been met you can expect to receive your points approximately 2-3 months from the contribution date. If a contribution has been made, and the 3 month window within which you should have received your points has elapsed, please contact AustralianSuper on 1300 136 203 who will look into it for you.
Q: I’ve joined and I forgot to add my Qantas number – can I have the points anyway?
A: No, to access the offer you must join via the Qantas campaign page australiansuper.com/qantas and include your Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) point’s number when prompted. This is the only way you can get this offer. Unfortunately joining AustralianSuper via another method will mean you are not eligible for this offer.
Q: I am an existing member of AustralianSuper - am I eligible for the Qantas offer?
A: Unfortunately you are not eligible for this particular offer, which is a trial for new members only. Over the course of the partnership with Qantas, we plan to trial a range of offers, promotions and activities that you may be eligible for.
Q: Who do I contact for support?
A: If your enquiry is related to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program or points enquiries contact Qantas on 13 11 31. If your enquiry is related to Super, eligibility for the offer or if a contribution has been made you can check if a contribution has been made by checking your account online here, chat with us online at australiansuper.com or speak to one of our consultants 1300 136 203.
Q: Can I earn Qantas Points more than once?
A: No. You can only earn Bonus Qantas points as a one-off allocation when you open a new Super or Choice Income account as a new member to the Fund (existing members are not eligible).
Q: How do I check if I am earning my points?
A: Check your Qantas points activity statement or call Qantas on 13 11 31.
Q: I joined before 31 December 2019 but haven’t made a contribution yet. Am I still eligible to earn points?
A: As long as you contribute a minimum of $350 to your AustralianSuper account within 6 months from the date you joined the Fund (being the date you’re allocated an AustralianSuper membership number) and satisfied all other eligibility criteria, you’ll still be eligible to earn points.
