An indicator is a small piece of information which, when combined with other indicators, can be used to inform investment decisions.

  • A very intelligent summary of the situation and happy to hear that such an array of indicators are employed. Impressed he was willing to admit to a herd mentality in the trade. Still remember, pre GFC, the one identical paragraph in every paper and magazine explaining how bad loans could be cut and diced then packaged into good loans.Glad I didn't believe them and took my money out of equities prior to GFC. Any one thought of measuring the traffic density on a trunk road as an economic indicator. An easy drive to work always made me nervous.
