What do I do if my employer hasn’t made my contributions? @headerType>
Talk to your employer first. If you’re unable to resolve your unpaid super query with them, visit the ATO website or call them on 13 10 20 for a step-by-step guide on how to recover missed or underpaid super.
If you’re an employee aged 18 or over, or an employee aged under 18 and working more than 30 hours, then you’re generally eligible to receive Super Guarantee (SG) super contributions. For the 2025/26 financial year, it was compulsory for employers to pay at least 12% of your salary to an eligible super fund like AustralianSuper. These payments needed to be made by quarterly deadlines set by the ATO.
From 1 July 2026, there is a major change. While the SG rate remains at 12% this year, the key change is the introduction of Payday Super. As per the Payday Super reform:
- employers must pay super contributions on or around each payday rather than quarterly
- contributions must generally reach the super fund within seven business days of payday, then be allocated to your account within 3 business days of receipt. There are some exceptions, for example the first super contribution for a new employee will need to be made within 20 business days of the salary or wages being paid.

Are all my contributions listed? @headerType>
All contributions effective and allocated in 2025/2026 financial year should be listed on your annual statement. Contributions received in the last couple of days in June may not have been allocated before 30 June and as such, won’t appear in your statement this financial year. You can login to your account to view all contributions. If you believe you may be missing contributions, please contact your employer.
