A Target Market Determination (TMD) explains who a financial product is intended for. It describes the target market the product is likely to be appropriate for, based on their likely objectives, financial situation and needs. A TMD also outlines any conditions for distributing the product to consumers, as well as the events or circumstances that may trigger a review of the product or the TMD to make sure it remains suitable.
