How to claim

To talk about a possible claim, call us on 1300 667 387 from 8.30am to 5pm AEST/AEDT weekdays. An AustralianSuper insurance representative will be able to help you.

When you call us, you’ll need to have a few dates handy.

If you’re calling about a Total & Permanent Disablement claim, you’ll need to know:

  • the date you were considered totally and permanently disabled by your doctor,
  • the date you last performed the normal duties of your job, and
  • the date you last worked in any capacity.

If you’re calling about an Income Protection claim, you’ll need to know:

  • the date you were medically certified as unfit for work,
  • the date you last performed the normal duties of your job, and
  • the date you last worked in any capacity.

What happens when you make a claim?

Once you’ve applied, you’ll be assigned a claims consultant who’ll help you understand the process and look after your application from start to finish. You can also track your claim at anytime by logging into your active online super account or the app.
