Letter of Compliance

Learn what a Letter of Compliance is, when you might need one, and how to let your employer know you've chosen AustralianSuper.

What is a Letter of Compliance?

A superannuation Letter of Compliance is an official document that confirms that a super fund is a complying and regulated super fund, and can receive employer contributions. The letter includes the fund's name, Australian Business Number (ABN) and Unique Superannuation Identifier (USI).

When you need the Letter of Compliance

You may need this letter when:

  • you ask your employer to pay your super into your AustralianSuper account using the ATO’s Superannuation standard choice form
  • your employer asks for confirmation that AustralianSuper is a complying super fund
  • you need to provide AustralianSuper's ABN, USI and other fund details so your employer can make contributions to your super account.

How to let your employer know you’ve chosen AustralianSuper

There are a few ways to let your employer know you'd like your super paid into your AustralianSuper account.

Use the Tell your employer feature

If you're already an AustralianSuper member, you may not need to download the Letter of compliance. Instead, you can use the Tell your employer feature in the app or in your account online to share your fund details directly with your employer.

Use the Superannuation standard choice form

If you’re using the ATO’s Superannuation standard choice form to choose AustralianSuper, you can complete it using the AustralianSuper fund details below, then return it your employer. You can also download a Letter of compliance and give both letters to your employer.
