A driven global investor
With more than A$385 billion in assets under management (as at 30 June 2025), we’re Australia’s largest superannuation fund1.
We're also the 17th largest pension fund in the world (and the fastest growing of the top 20), as well as the 32nd largest asset owner in the world.2
Our purpose
We’re a profit-for-member superannuation fund that actively invests the retirement savings of more than 3.5 million members3.
Our purpose is to help members achieve their best financial position in retirement.
Members are the core of everything we do – and this underscores our absolute focus on driving investment returns for members.
Large and growing capital base
With substantial net cash inflows per annum, AustralianSuper is growing at a rapid rate.
Over the past 10 years to 30 June 2025, our assets under management have grown at a 16% p.a. CAGR (compound annual growth rate) and are forecast to reach A$600 billion in 2030.
Underpinned by Australia’s compulsory superannuation (retirement savings) sector, our net cash inflows are driven by:
- compulsory and voluntary superannuation contributions from existing members,
- investment performance and
- growth in new members.

We’ve been investing for members for 40 years
AustralianSuper has been investing for members since August 1985. Our Balanced option (for accumulation), where most members are invested, has delivered average annualised returns of:
- 7.94% p.a. over the last 10 years,
- 8.69% p.a. over the last 15 years, and
- 9.27% p.a. since inception to 30 June 2025.5
We’re the largest participant in Australia’s growing superannuation sector
With the largest assets under management and most number of members, we’re the largest participant in Australia's A$4.3 trillion superannuation sector, which is expected to exceed A$6.1 trillion by 20356.
On-the-ground presence in key markets
We were the first Australian superannuation fund to open an international office. In 2012, we opened a research office in Beijing, followed by our London office in 2016 and our New York office in 2021.
This has allowed us to tap into talent pools in these markets and build greater capacity to do global deals and manage them locally.
