Help your employees understand their responsibilities

Employees play an important role in managing their super. They should:

  • Provide accurate fund details at onboarding, including completing the Standard Choice form when nominating their chosen super fund.
  • Keep personal details up to date with their fund, such as changes to contact details, address or name—mobile numbers and email addresses are critical for receiving important member communications.
  • Regularly check their super account to ensure contributions are correct and report any issues to their employer or the ATO.

Encouraging these steps helps employees take ownership of their super and protect their retirement savings.
