This Contributions Adviser calculator is provided by AustralianSuper Pty Ltd ABN 94 006 457 987, ASFL 233788, the Trustee of AustralianSuper ABN 65 714 394 898. The calculator provides illustrative calculations based on stated assumptions only and is provided in good faith. It has been based on current laws and their interpretation as at 1 July 2014.
The purpose of the Contributions Adviser calculator is to show you how making extra contributions to your super can help you retire wealthier. The calculator also works out the best way for you to contribute to super based on your salary. The calculator has not taken into account your lifestyle expenses and other commitments like a mortgage or personal loans. You should consider whether these debts should be paid off before putting money into super, which you generally cannot access until you retire.
The contributions ‘teaser’ calculators found throughout the site assume a 20 year strategy with a growth rate of 7.66% (including inflation). If you are logged in to your online account the calculator considers all of the personal information we know about you including age, super balance and salary estimate. Other basic assumptions can be found via the link in Step 1 of the Contributions Adviser.
The information resulting from the calculations should not be relied upon as a true representation of any actual superannuation entitlements or benefits from any particular scheme or relied on as a basis upon which to alter your financial situation. It has been prepared without taking into account your particular financial needs, circumstances and objectives. You should assess your own financial circumstances and needs before you make any changes to your financial affairs. In the event that your particular circumstances are taken into account, you will receive personal advice via a Statement of Advice (SOA). An SOA is a document that contains advice provided to you and includes the basis on which it was given and information about any fees or commissions that apply and any associations that AustralianSuper may have which may influence the advice.
This calculator is based on the features of the standard AustralianSuper accumulation and retirement income products.
Read our Privacy Collection Statement for a summary on why we collect the personal information requested in this form and how we handle that information.
